Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), in collaboration with the University of Ulsan (South Korea), organized the International Conference on Mechatronics Technology 2025 (ICMT 2025) on November 13, 2025. Sponsored by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IEEE IES)—one of the world’s leading academic organizations in electrical and electronic engineering—the conference highlights the prestige and growing academic influence of HCMUTE within the international research community.

This year’s event received 128 submissions from both domestic and international researchers. After a rigorous and objective peer-review process, the Organizing Committee selected 75 high-quality papers for presentation. These studies were arranged across 15 sessions covering 9 thematic areas, and all accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Xplore Proceedings, one of the most reputable scientific publication platforms worldwide, ensuring global visibility for the conference’s research contributions. ICMT 2025 welcomed more than 70 scientists, experts, and scholars from Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Italy, China, the United Kingdom, India, Germany, Luxembourg, Qatar, and Taiwan, creating a vibrant academic forum for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and scientific advancement in an era of increasing international integration.

In attendance at the conference were Prof. Dr. Kyoung Kwan Ahn, Honorary Chair from the University of Ulsan; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh, Vice President of HCMUTE; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thanh Trung, Head of Science and Technology at HCMUTE, along with faculty leaders, lecturers, and graduate students. The event also featured two distinguished keynote speakers: Prof. Yo Ping Huang, a leading researcher in artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things from the National Taipei University of Technology (Taiwan), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Quang Truong, an expert in mechatronics from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom).

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh welcomed all delegates and expressed HCMUTE’s honor in hosting ICMT 2025. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in scientific research, particularly in mechatronics—a field playing a pivotal role in digital transformation and sustainable development. He noted that academic forums such as ICMT enable scientists to share knowledge, expand research networks, and collectively pursue innovation.
