From 7th of September, during the official visit and business trip of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the Vietnamese delegation to the Republic of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Hungary, Assoc. Assoc. Prof. Do Van Dung - Party Committee Secretary and also the President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education joined the delegation of Mr. Phung Xuan Nha, Member of the Central Committee, Minister of Education and Training accompanying the General Secretary during this mission.

Apart from the visit of the General Secretary, there were the working sessions and the signing of cooperation agreements between the top universities of Vietnam and Russian Federation with the witness of Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Marina Borovskaya.

Attending the state delegation were Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affair Pham Binh Minh; Chief of the Central Economic Committee Nguyen Van Binh; Head of the Central Party Office Nguyen Van Nen; Head of the Central Committee's Foreign Relation Committee; Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung; Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh; Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha; Attorney General Le Thanh Long; Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung; Deputy Minister of Defense, Be Xuan Truong; Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam; Assistant Secretary-General Ho Mau Ngoat and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Russian Federation Ngo Duc Manh.
 
Assoc. Prof. Do Van Dung and the delegation of Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha met with Mockva1  Energy University

It is known that many lecturers teaching at the university are the Bachelors, Masters, and PhDs of the famous universities in Russia such as Moscow University, Moscow State University, v.v. In addition, the number of students after graduation receiving a second degree in Russian universities in total was not small.
 
The task force of the Ministry visited and worked in the Republic of Hungary

The signing of co-development between the universities is of great interest, so that it is possible to carry out the joint Vietnam-Russia transnational education program between the University of Techonology and Education Ho Chi Minh City with top universities in Russian Federation. Helping students as well as lecturers have the access to new knowledge, modern teaching aids is the springboard to approach and grasp the opportunities offered by the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

At the meeting with Deputy Minister Borovskaya, Minister Phung Xuan Nha emphasized that the cooperation in education and training between Vietnam and Russia is now going well; both countries have a long history of political and economic cooperation along with remarkable successes. Following the tradition of the former Soviet Union, Russia has assisted Vietnam in training not only one generation but many generations of specialists.
 
Assoc. Prof. Do Van Dung signed a contract with a Russian university in the presence of the Minister of Education and Training of Russia and the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam.

During this visit, Minister Phung Xuan Nha proposed specifying the current Cooperation Agreement between two countries with a plan of two-sided cooperation for the period of 2019-2021 in science and technology. The Minister emphasized that he believed in the cooperation between Vietnamese and Russian universities; first and foremost because these universities had the potential and tradition to cooperate with each other for a long time. And their collaborative products are good professionals in various fields, from business to basic science and art.

Minister Phung Xuan Nha also emphasized that Vietnam is now in need of high-quality specialists, especially in high technology and economy of that Russian education is advanced enough to meet the demand. That is also the direction that teachers and students of University of Technology and Education Ho Chi Minh City, in the age of strong technology as today, is aiming at. Increasing the level of education, absorbing new technology of the world are always the top issues that University of Technology and Education Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the universities in the whole country are interested in; hence, helping the university, national and foreign enterprises find easier approaches to teach, recruit, and improve the quality of the output as well as the reputation of the university, helping students to study in a modern environment, with international-standard equipment, and the necessary professional skills to become useful engineers.
