Ms. Nantana Gajaseni speaking at the event

At the ceremony, as the Acting Chairperson of AUN – QA, Ms. Nantana Gajaseni shared that she had learned many things from Mr. Do Van Dung as she was surprised at the close cooperation between the business sector and the HCMUE as well as at how well the university linked the enterprises with its training programs. Students with difficult circumstances were supported in different ways, through which the HCMUTE helped enable them to continue their paths to the future. There are two words starting with P in terms of the qualities a school must have. One is Passion, which means that an institute must have a passionate interest in continuously improving its quality. The other is Patience, indicating that that institute must be patient about getting any step forward in its quality. Moreover, quality is a journey, not a destination.
With such results, the HCMUTE is proud to be one of the leading technical training institutes in the region gaining 8 AUN – QA accreditations in merely two years. Thus, the training quality is assured to be capable of the great demand for high-quality workforce not only in Vietnam but also in the region of ASEAN.

AUN – QA is the abbreviated name of the ASEAN University Network with Quality Assurance, which was founded in 1995 with the aims of fostering connections among its member universities through training activities, quality assessment to further their academic inter-institutional agreements. In the recent years, AUN has attached special importance to the mission of quality assessment and such activities like student, teacher exchange, credit transfer training programs among the universities. According to the statistics, till November 2017, there have been only 8 institutes with the AUN accreditations for their training programs. Being among them, the HCMUTE has been a prominent university gaining 8 AUN-QA-accredited programs with top scores compared to the others’ corresponding ones in Vietnam since 2009.
