The anniversary was held at HCMUTE on May 19 to mark 130th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2020).
There was a presence of Mr. Do Van Dung-HCMUTE president, Mr. Le Hieu Giang and Mrs. Truong Thi Hien - HCMUTE vice-presidents, lecturers, some representatives from veterans, HCMUTE students’ association and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The ceremony aimed to recall the glorious life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh who devoted his whole life to the national liberation of the Vietnamese people, contributing to the common struggle of peoples for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress.
Mrs. Truong Thi Hien highlighted that Uncle Ho was an embodiment of patriotism and revolutionary heroism. She also reminded party committees and students to study and follow moral example of Ho Chi Minh president.
In the ceremony, Mr. Le Xuan Than, Mr. Dang Thanh Tri, Mr. Truong Dinh Nhon and Mr. Nguyen Doan Xuan Truong were awarded with various honorary titles.
To cultivate environmental students’ awareness, all members took part in tree planting activity, which reflected Ho Chi Minh’s thought - "Spring is an occasion to plant trees / Let the country grow stronger than ever."
