With the goal of expanding networks and partnerships while improving training quality through benchmarking and participation in national and international university rankings to meet modern demands, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lac Hong University on the morning of January 21, 2025.

Attending the signing ceremony, representatives from HCMUTE included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Huy Tuân – Head of the Quality Assurance Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Viet Cuong – Head of the Academic Affairs Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thanh Trung – Head of the Science and Technology Office, M.A. Pham Bach Duong – Head of the International Relations Office, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Nguyen Luan Vu – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Representing Lac Hong University were Dr. Lam Thanh Hien – President, Dr. Le Phuong Truong – Head of the Testing and Quality Assurance Office, M.A. Nguyen Trong Vinh  – Head of the Academic Affairs Office, Dr. Nguyen Trong Anh – Deputy Director of the Center for Scientific Research and Applications, M.A. Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh – Head of the International Relations Office, and M.A. Ngo Dinh Hoang Diem  – Deputy Head of the Testing and Quality Assurance Office.

Opening the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh, Vice President of HCMUTE, shared: "The signing of this cooperation agreement marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two universities. We believe that with commitment and unity, HCMUTE and Lạc Hồng University will not only support each other in training and scientific research but also contribute to creating sustainable values for the community and society."

Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, President of Lac Hong University, also expressed: "Collaborating with HCMUTE presents numerous opportunities for both institutions to grow, especially in areas such as enhancing training quality, scientific research, and the internationalization of education. We expect this partnership to lead to groundbreaking advancements, meeting the ever-growing demands of society and promoting the development of both universities."

According to the MOU, HCMUTE and Lac Hong University will collaborate on undergraduate and postgraduate training, professional capacity enhancement, faculty exchange, scientific research, and the organization of national and international conferences. Both institutions will share facilities, benchmark educational quality data, and cooperate in quality assurance, accreditation, technology transfer, and data management systems. The partnership will also promote international projects, scientific publications, and research initiatives, with specific implementation responsibilities assigned to the leadership of both universities. This collaboration aims to improve education quality and contribute to community development.
