1. Background

The Quality Management Office was was established on july 26th 2008.
On september 5th, 2013, it was renamed Quality Assurance Office.

2. Function and mission
- Consulting and directly organizing activities with relations to the management of the University in compliance with ISO 9001:2000.
- Conducting surveys and assessment of the University's education quality
- Coordinating the assessment, inspecting training curriculums and educational institutions in compliance with international and the MOET's standards

4. Distinguished achievements
- 2006-2007: Intertek Organization—U.S.A.assessed and acknowledged that HCMUTE achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.
- 3/2016: AUN-QA conferred standard certification upon 3 training programs of HCMUTE: Mechatronics Engineering Technology; Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology; Automobile Engineering Technology.
- 11/2016: Center for Education Accreditation—HCMC National Universityofficially assessed and acknowledged HCMUTE satisfied education quality standards issued in accordance with Decision No. 14/QĐ-TTKĐ datedMay 3rd, 2017, valid untilMay 3rd, 2022.
- 4/4/2017: The program of Construction Engineeringwasawarded the standard certificate by AUN-QA.
- 11/2017: Organized the assessment of training programs in compliance with AUN-QA standards in the following majors: Mechanic Manufacturing Engineering; Thermal Engineering Technology; Electronic and Communication Engineering Technology; Environmental Engineering Technology.
