At 9am on November 17th, 2014 in Meeting Room 2 of Central Building, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation between Ho chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) and the DAIKINVN Corporation was held. DAIKIN Corporation awarded the 2014 DAIKIN Scholarships to Thermal Technology students. DAIKIN also held introductory workshops on new technologies and new air conditioning refrigerants.
Attending the signing ceremony are Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang - Deputy CEO of Daikin VN and Vice Chairman of refrigeration & air conditioning in Vietnam, Mr. Ho Thai Phong - Head of Design Office, Mr. Pham TrungKien and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luan. On behalf HCMUTE are Assoc. Prof. Le Hieu Giang – Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Hoang An Quoc – Head of Research Management and International Relations Office, Dr. Nguyen Vu Lan - Deputy Head of Research Management and International Relations Office, Assoc. Prof. Dang ThanhTrung - Vice Dean of Vehicle and Energy Engineering Faculty, Mr. Do Quoc Am - Vice Dean of Vehicle and Energy Engineering Faculty, Mr. Nguyen Van Long Giang - Vice Dean of Vehicle and Energy Engineering Faculty, the staff of Refrigeration and Heat Department and more than 150 students majored in Heat Engineering.

Also in the ceremony, DAIKIN VN awarded 10 scholarships, worth 5 million VND each to Heat Engineering students who have had good academic achievements. This is a great award and a significant support for the students to work harder.

To end the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Le HieuGiang - Vice President said thank you to the Corporation and emphasized the need to promote long-term cooperation between schools and businesses based on mutual benefits, which some developed countries had been undergoing very well.
Also in this meeting, DAIKIN experts introduced new technology and refrigerant used in air conditioning to Heat Engineering students. Lots of interesting questions were raised during the seminar. After more than two hours meeting in a friendly but still solemn atmosphere, the event ended successfully, promising more cooperation programs between Daikin VN and HCMUTE.
