After a month of recruiting and preparing, in the morning of July 4, 2019, at the Grand Hall of Block A, HCMC University of Technology and Education organized the opening ceremony of Volunteer Campaign called Green Summer in 2019.

In the ceremony, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Van Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the university, the University's Steering Committee for CDTN Summer Summer 2019, more than 300 volunteer soldiers, representatives of 2 major sponsors of BIDV and SOUNDMAX and the ambassador of the Green Summer campaign of HCMC University of Technology - Miss Vietnam 2018- Tran Tieu Vy.
