Meritous teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung emphasized in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day November 20 1982 – November 20 2017 at the Great Hall in HCMUTE on the morning of November 20th 2017: “Responsibilities of teachers in the digital age are immensely difficult.”

The ceremonony was attended by meritous teachers, UTE management through times, other schools, businesses, partners, and press and TV agencies. 

This was an occasion for the management, officers, lecturers, and students to express their gratitude to teachers through generations, people who have been making enormous contribution to the establishment and development of HCMUTE.

On this anniversary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Dung briefly reported the teaching and learning activities of UTE lecturers and students in the past academic year.  

In his speech, Mr. Dung Do emphasized: “Teachers’ responsibilities in the digital age is immensely difficult,” requiring them to continuously update their knowledge amidst the ever-changing tendency of Industrial Revolution 4.0.

At the ceremony the University was honored to receive the commemorating medal of “For the Educational Career” for 04 individuals, 03 collective commendation certificates, and 05 individual commendation certificates from the Minister of Education and Training, the title of Excellent Labor Group  for 06 units and the title of ministry-level competitive soldier for 3 people in UTE.  

Also on this occasion, the representatives of organizations, businesses, and Samaritans donated 2.3 billion dong to our University’s scholarship fund.

As part of the activities celebrating UTE’s 55th anniversary and Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, November 20th, 2017, our school inaugurated the Banquet Room for welcoming and serving important international groups of visitors and high-rank authority; inaugurating a number of projects to care for the physical and emotional life of officers, lecturers, and students such as the artificial lawn soccer pitch, multifunctional gymnasium, Labor Union dining hall, etc.

Following the ceremony, the school’s management visited the offices, faculties, departments, institutes, and centers to congratulate the pedagogical groups on the new age of the teaching career. The rapport between teachers and students became even closer and cozier.
