On November 25, 2017, HCMUTE’s 16th Trade Union Congress for the term 2017-2022 took place with the attendance of 149 delegates representing all our university’s officers, staffers, and Trade Union members. The congress ended in spectacular success, with the election of the management board for the school trade union including 15 comrades and 01 delegate to attend the 11th HCMC Trade Union Congress for the term of 2018-2023.
During the previous term, our University Trade Union completeted the goals and duties set in the Decision of the 15th UTE Trade Union Congress.
Speaking the event, Do Van Dung expressed his delight that UTE Trade Union attained various achievements in the last term, maturing in terms of both quantity and quality. Trade union activities in the recent time have contributed our school’s collective success. So as to maximize effectiveness in the new term, it behooves the University Trade Union to perform its role and build a solid team.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Do—Member of the Standing Committee, Director of Legal Policy Department of the Labor Confederation—highly appreciated HCMUTE Trade Union in the term of 2012-2017. Despite the many personnel changes, our school Trade Union maintained smooth operation, exceptionally carried out its duties. The University Trade Union Management Board needs to keep up the innovative and creative spirit to effectively implement the orientation for the term of 2017-2022, solidify its role as one of the most excellent trade unions.
The congress elected 1 comrade to attend the 16th HCMC Trade Union Congress of Education for the term 2018-2023 on a voluntary, democratic, and unanimous basis. Comrade Nguyen Nam Thang has been selected to go to the upper Trade Union Congress.
Through the Congress Decision, the HCMUTE Trade Union Delegate Congress with the working maxim of “Uniting – Innovative – Practical – Compassionate” unanimously keep up the attained achievements and strive to successfully perform its trade union tasks and the school’s political tasks, contributing to the growth of the trade union and develop UTE into a strong and developed institution.
