On November 6th 2017 at HCMUTE the Science Conference of “Russian October Revolution – A Look back after 100 Years.” The celebration ceremony of the October Revolution was also held on November 7th, 2017.

The conference was held by the Party Committee of Universities and Colleges in HCMC in collaboration with the Party Unit of HCMUTE with 22 articles of scientists and lecturers from the Polical Science Faculties, Histor Departments of schools in the Party Committee.  

The organizers hoped the Conference to assert that the significant achievements in our country’s reformation is the result of creatively applying Marx-Leninism in Vietnam’s particular circumstances and at the same time nourish the Vietnam-Russia friendship, kindling the city cizitens’ love for the Russian October Revolution and Russian people. 

Speaking at the Commemoration Ceremony, Comrade Do Van Dung, Party Committee Deputy Secretary of Universities and Colleges in HCMC, Party Committee Secretary, President of HCMUTE shared his thought: The October Revolution led Russia to becoming one of the great nation in the 20th century. 

“The historical significance of the October Revolution does not only stop at one to seize the government but it also ushered in a new era in humankind’s history, socialism coming from theory to reality. The rebellion demonstrated humanity’s aspiration and belief for a bright future where people take control of their lives.
