On the morning of November 13, 2022, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) organized The 2022 ICPC Vietnam National Programming Contest in order to determine the best team to represent ICPC Vietnam at The 2022 ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City Regional Contest, which will be held at HCMUTE on December 8-9, 2022.
The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is the oldest and most prominent worldwide programming competition in the world, with the motto "Intelligence - Perfection Skills - Teamwork - English." Globally, the tournament is regarded as the "Olympic Games" for students majoring in Information Technology. 381 teams were participating in 17 venues around the country for the national round of the ICPC programming test. Fifteen teams, including HCMUTE, Saigon International University, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology,... were competing at the HCMUTE competition site.
The 2022 ICPC Vietnam National Programming Contest has officially concluded with PostgreSQL - VNU Hanoi-University of Engineering and Technology claiming victory. The competition lasted nearly a day and included a variety of obstacles. In addition, the following teams were also granted prizes:
• First Prize: Team HCMUS-Burned Tomatoes – VNU HCMC-University of Science; Team HUST United – Hanoi University of Science and Technology; HCMUT Team The BoBoi Boys Team – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
• Second Prize: Team VinUni-GTK++ – Vin University; Team BKDN.ByeByeLeader – The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology; Team HUS.WFKC – VNU – University of Science; Team FPTU SquareX – Financing and Promoting Technology Education.
• Third Prize: Team Talented Clowns – Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education; Team UIT.Callburn – VNU HCM - University of Information Technology; Team CTU.NegativeZero – Can Tho University; Team FUV_Cresent – Fulbright University Vietnam; Team HaUI. MiuXinhhh – Hanoi University of Industry.
• Consolation Prize: Team VKU.Friendship Power – the University of Danang, Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology; Team PKA. Teleportation – Phenikia University; Team HUSC.[401]_UnauthorizeD – Hue University of Sciences; Team PSA _ Coderidesus – People's Security Academy; Team HCMUSSH-ChiLan – VNU - Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Team PPA_SKV – People's Police Academy.
The national champions will advance to the next phase of The 2022 ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City Regional Contest, which will be held at HCMUTE in December.
