On the afternoon of October 13, 2025, at Meeting Room 1 – Central Building, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) and GREMSY Joint Stock Company (GREMSY) held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony. The event marks a new milestone in strengthening collaboration between the university and the technology enterprise, with a shared vision to advance UAV/drone technology development and foster high-quality technical human resources to meet the demands of the Industry 4.0 era.
Representing HCMUTE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President, along with other university leaders, including Dr. Mai Duc Dai – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Dang Xuan Ba – Director of the Center for Intelligent Robotics, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Quang – Head of the Mechatronics Department, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Ha Le Nhu Ngoc Thanh – Head of the Drone Laboratory, and M.A. Le Phan Nhat Hang – Deputy Head of the Office of Corporate Relations.
From GREMSY, participants included Mr. Nguyen Van Chu – Deputy General Director, Mr. Do Hoang Tu – Head of R&D Department, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Mai Thy – Marketing Team Leader, Ms. Chau Mai Uyen – Head of Human Resources and Administration, and several company specialists.
Strengthening Industry–Academia Partnership
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh, Vice President of HCMUTE, emphasized:

One highlight of the partnership is the “Gremsy Uni-Tour & Career Orientation – Skills Development” program, which aims to provide career guidance, foster creativity, and introduce UAV/drone technologies to students. The program also encourages the participation of female engineering students through the annual “Women in Tech” event.
In addition, GREMSY will collaborate with HCMUTE to organize internship programs, company tours, recruitment and skill training sessions, and award Gremsy Scholarships to students with outstanding academic and research achievements. The company will also fund student research projects and scientific initiatives.
Promoting Joint Research and Innovation
During the discussion, both sides agreed to strengthen R&D cooperation. GREMSY will propose real-world challenges in UAV design, manufacturing, and system optimization for HCMUTE’s faculty and students to research, test, and develop practical solutions. Promising research outcomes will be supported by GREMSY for pilot implementation using the company’s technological platforms.
HCMUTE also proposed equipment sponsorship for research purposes to help students gain hands-on experience with modern technology through academic competitions and real-world projects. This collaboration serves as a crucial foundation for optimizing access to advanced technologies, enhancing applied research capacity, and building a skilled workforce for GREMSY in the future.
