On the morning of September 29, 2025, at Meeting Room I, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) welcomed and held a working session with the delegation from the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperative relations and acknowledge HCMUTE’s contributions to Quang Ngai Province over the years, particularly in promoting science and technology activities as well as creativity movements among high school students. On this occasion, the Union presented a Certificate of Merit from the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – President of HCMUTE, for his outstanding achievements in co-organizing the 3rd Quang Ngai Robot Innovation Contest 2025.

Attending the session on behalf of HCMUTE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – President of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thanh Trung – Head of the Office of Science and Technology, Dr. Le Minh Nhut – Deputy Head of the Office of Science and Technology, MSc. Le Xuan Than – Secretary of the Youth Union, Deputy Head of the Communications Office, and MSc. Nguyen Doan Xuan Truong – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union.

Representing the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province were Mr. Le Quang Thich – President of the Union, Ms. Bui Thi Hanh – Vice President of the Union, Mr. Tran Quang Tien – Deputy Head in charge of the Information and Knowledge Dissemination Division and Membership Affairs, Mr. Do Kim Cuong – Head of the Division of Science, Technology and Advisory Evaluation, and Mr. Vo Anh Tuan – Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Ngai Province.

During the meeting, delegates reviewed notable cooperative activities between the two sides, particularly the Quang Ngai Robot Innovation Contest – a science and technology playground for high school students that has been successfully held for three consecutive years in Quang Ngai Province. This serves as clear evidence of HCMUTE’s commitment to fostering youth innovation in Quang Ngai.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – President of HCMUTE emphasized:

“HCMUTE has been the cradle of education for many generations of students from the Central region in general and Quang Ngai in particular. Many alumni have stayed on to contribute to the university and society. HCMUTE always encourages the spirit of science, technology, and STEM among students, thereby contributing to building a high-quality workforce for the country.”

On behalf of the delegation, he presented the Certificate of Merit from the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang in recognition of his remarkable achievements in co-organizing the 3rd Quang Ngai Robot Innovation Contest 2025.

The working visit of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Quang Ngai Province to HCMUTE opened up new directions for cooperation, strengthening the bond between the two sides. This occasion was not only a chance to reflect on past achievements but also an opportunity to reaffirm their long-term commitment to advancing science and technology, nurturing creativity among the younger generation, and working together to build a high-quality human resource base to serve national development.
