Recently, HCMUTE English Camp: Speak English – Connect communities, which was sponsored by the National Foreign Languages Project  2020, took place at HCMC University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE).

More than 1,500 local students joint and experienced this camp.

The purpose of this camp is to promote all the social abilities, to expand the current English club, to establish the specialist English club, to creat English studying environment for students and to connect all English clubs in order to establish the English speaking inside and outside HCMUTE.
 

Besides, the camp also let all participates know the important and pressing roles of English ability improvement  in integration context.
Speaking at opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Do Van Dzung – The Rector  of HCMUTE, stressed the important role of English when integrating. He said: “ When participating the TPP (Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement) and Asean Economic Community, it will offer more opportunities and challenges for the labor market in the region.

English has become an essential tool to Vietnamese labor resource joint in this region as well as the world. HCMUTE vision is not only to train the students become better in knowlegde, skills… but also international integration.

Participating this camp, the young students were tested English and consulted the learning method, training pathway, English ability improvement, took part in the drawing competition to encourage English learning, was introduced the language books, took the pictures with  the theme - “HCMUTE Fall Camp Shoots”, engaging with English speaking people in the region from “Gala Prom Night” programme.
