On 11 December 2015, at Hochiminh City University of Technology and Education, the Admission and Student Affairs Office held a seminar to support the national action Month for HIV/AIDS prevention, whose topic was Reproductive health – potential dangers. The seminar attracted about 1,000 students’ attendance till the last minutes.
The speaker, Doctor Dang Van Tai from Media – Health Education Center, spent 90 minutes explaining some concepts, such as Reproductive health, gender, homosexuality, HIV transmission, and especially answering students’ questions. The number of students’ questions excited the seminar.
As a result, they had more understanding about the virus sources, the HIV transmission as well as indirect transmission.
A lot of questions were raised, for example “How many genders do we have?”, “What are the cases of sexual intercourse and their diseases?”, “ How to use condom effectively and safely?”. With his experience and understanding of youth psychology, Doctor Tai could answer most students’ questions and satisfied them with his answers.
In addition, students knew more about love issues, such as how to maintain love, how to love when they are away from home, how to have a healthy relationship.
