The programming contest "Autonomous vehicle with image processing and artificial intelligence" was first held in April 2022 with the participation of 32 teams from many different universities in the city. . Following the great success of the first time, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. HCM City held the second programming contest "Autonomous vehicle with image processing and artificial intelligence application". At the second time, the contest continued to attract a large number of students, with more than 240 students. Participants from 56 teams came from universities: FPT University, University of Science and Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, University of Transport and the University Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. On February 14, 2023, 06 best teams entered the final round and created the expected programming masterpieces.

Coming to the 2nd competition, the teams will program by computer based on simulation software to complete the challenges given by the Jury. With the desire that students can build practical self-driving cars, capable of operating in real traffic conditions, the difficulty of the test requirements has been enhanced, in which the special jury Select the feasibility of each team's solution to the problem. Challenges include 1-way and 2-way running with lanes, winding roads, roads with variable lighting conditions, tree shadows, command signs, obstacle avoidance, climbing slopes, and noisy backgrounds.

The 2nd "Autonomous vehicle with image processing and artificial intelligence" programming contest created a healthy and useful scientific research playground for students to participate in, helping students express their passion for science and technology. passion, promote creativity and cultivate learned knowledge. Through the competition, each student also has the opportunity to approach new technologies of the future, learn and apply software of Image processing technology, AI technology, embedded programming more proficiently and professionally. Final result: excellent team Inception won the First prize; team SPK_SANDBOX won the second prize; team K19_CL2A won the third prize; 03 Consolation prizes were awarded to Team Yasuo, Team Pegasus and Team Power Ranger.
