July 25, 2003: Faculty of Basic Science was separated into Faculty of Basic Sciences and Faculty of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology
October 9, 2008: Faculty of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Ideology renamed after Faculty of Political Sciences
April 3, 2017: Faculty of Political Sciences completed with 3 departments: Basic Principles of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s Ideology, and Revolutionary Policy of the Vietnamese Communist Party
