On the morning of January 22nd, 2021, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education in collaboration with Toyota Vietnam Foundation held the Closing Ceremony of Course 02 and Opening Ceremony of Course 03 of "Toyota Vocational Scholarship" Program .

"Toyota Vocational Training Scholarship" has been implemented to support disadvantaged students since 2016. Joining this program, students were given the chance to:

- Be supported with 2-year non-refundable tuition fees;

- Receive financial support to pay living expenses at preferential interest rates (for students who were in need of financial support);

- Be provided with free accommodation at the Dormitory of the university;

- Be consulted about part-time jobs, internships and career opportunities.

Summarized Course 02 (2016 - 2018), the program had trained 24 graduates, 17 of which were recruited to work at Toyota agencies in the South and some other enterprises. Following the success of previous courses, Course 03 would begin with the training of 12 students. Apart from specialized training content such as automotive engineering, English, information technology, soft skills, driver training, trainees were also trained in automobile repair knowledge and skills according to the technician-training program of Toyota.
