On January 15, Ministry of Science & Technology, Hochiminh City University of Technology and Education and Dr. Nguyen Ba Hai (Lecturer of Hochiminh City University of Technology and Education) signed a contract of national independent research to complete the design and creation of the electric obstacle glasses for the blind.

According to this contract, the research team, which Dr. Nguyen Ba Hai is holder, will assess the situation and analyze the requests and comments from users in order to improve the product, improve the process of manufacturing of electronic glasses, produce about 1.000 glasses for test which its technical standards will be commented by the expert group of Ministry of Science & Technology, equip more modern 
machinery to improve production capacity and efficiency. Investment budget for this project is 5,57 billion Vietnam Dong with the execution time of 1 year. 


Earlier, at a meeting of young scientists on September 112015, the Prime Minister said that the government would support all the fee for the “Haptic eyes” – a smart glasses invention of Dr. Nguyen Ba Hai to produce it for the blind after listening to his convincing ideas.
