On the afternoon of April 28, 2025, at Meeting Room I of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), a donation ceremony took place where Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented a Mitsubishi XForce vehicle to students of the Faculty of Vehicle and Energy Engineering. This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to provide students with early and easier access to modern technology, enhancing their skills and hands-on experience before entering the workforce.

Attending the ceremony from HCMUTE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President of the university; Dr. Nguyen Van Long Giang – Dean of the Faculty of Vehicle and Energy Engineering; Dr. Nguyen Van Trang, Dr. Do Quoc Am, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang An Quoc – Vice Deans of the faculty; Dr. Huynh Phuoc Son – Head of the Office of Enterprise Relations; and Ms. Le Phan Nhat Hang – Deputy Head of the Office of Enterprise Relations.

 

From Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Yanagawa Tomoki – General Director – attended the event along with Mr. Tran Hoang Viet and some company colleagues.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh affirmed: "The university constantly strives to expand partnerships with leading domestic and international enterprises and organizations to improve training quality, scientific research, and students’ global integration capabilities. The donation from Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd. offers students direct access to real-world automotive technology, enhancing the practical and creative aspects of their learning experience."

Mr. Yanagawa Tomoki, General Director of Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd., shared: "In addition to business development, we place great importance on social responsibilities, especially in the field of education and workforce training. By donating the Mitsubishi XForce to HCMUTE, we hope to help students get early exposure to advanced automotive technologies, develop practical skills, and foster creative thinking, preparing them for professional work environments. We believe the cooperation between industry and academia will continue to grow and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's automotive industry."

The Mitsubishi XForce vehicle will be used by the Faculty of Vehicle and Energy Engineering for teaching, research, practical training, and student innovation projects. With its advanced engine system, electronic technologies, and safety features, the vehicle is a valuable resource for helping students stay up-to-date with automotive industry trends, apply theoretical knowledge to practice, and strengthen their technical competence and confidence before graduation.
