Continuing to leverage its strengths in corporate engagement, on the morning of April 4, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cybernet System Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (CSMY). Through this partnership, teaching, learning, and research activities at HCMUTE will be enhanced to meet the growing demand for high-quality human resources in the Electronics and Semiconductor industries amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

 

Representing HCMUTE at the signing ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President of the university; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le My Ha – Acting Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Chi Kien – Vice Dean; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Au – Vice Dean; MA. Le Phan Nhat Hang – Deputy Head of the Office of Enterprise Relations, along with several faculty members from the Department of Computer Engineering and Telecommunications.

 

From the corporate side, attendees included Mr. Arnie Cheng – CEO of Cybernet System Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.; Mr. Nguyen Minh Trieu – Chief Representative of CSMY in Vietnam; Mr. Anthony Dawson – Vice President of Ansys; Mr. Shitalkumar Joshi – Senior Director of Ansys Asia; Mr. Phung Duc Tuan Cuong – Country Manager of Ansys Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Huynh Thy Khoa – CEO of Long Vu Trading & Service Co., Ltd., and several engineers from Ansys.

According to the MOU, Cybernet System Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. will provide access to Ansys learning resources for teaching Electronics and Semiconductor courses; organize faculty training programs on Ansys tools for these fields; host specialized workshops at HCMUTE to develop technical skills and the workforce; invite guest speakers; offer access to Ansys simulation tools to support HCMUTE student teams; co-organize academic webinars and in-person seminars; and assist HCMUTE in updating and upgrading its curriculum related to Electronics and Semiconductors.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh – Vice President of HCMUTE emphasized:

"The university always strives to expand international cooperation with leading organizations and companies both domestically and globally to improve the quality of education, scientific research, and global integration capabilities for our students. Today's MOU with Cybernet System Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. not only adds academic value but also creates opportunities for students to access real-world technology environments, enhancing the practical and creative aspects of their learning experience."

Representing Ansys, Mr. Anthony Dawson – Vice President, shared: "Ansys strongly believes in the power of education and cooperation with universities. Through our partner Cybernet System Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., we hope to support HCMUTE in developing its training programs and strengthening simulation technology skills for faculty and students – the future engineers of the electronics and semiconductor industries."

During the event, delegates discussed specific action plans to effectively implement the MOU, particularly the development of specialized training courses in electronics and semiconductor simulation, the organization of seminars, technical workshops, and academic competitions for students. Corporate representatives also expressed their willingness to support the university in accessing advanced technological resources and connecting students with real-world projects, thereby enhancing their capabilities to work in a global industrial environment.

 

This MOU signing not only demonstrates HCMUTE’s commitment to continuously innovating and enhancing training quality through practical, modern, and globally integrated approaches but also elevates the university-industry relationship to new heights, laying the groundwork for more strategic partnerships in the future. With steady progress in international cooperation and corporate engagement, HCMUTE is affirming its position as one of the leading technical universities in the region, pioneering the training of high-quality human resources for Industry 4.0.
