Amidst the global trend of educational internationalization and increasing collaboration among higher education institutions, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) has continuously strengthened its networking efforts and expanded academic partnerships with prestigious global institutions. To promote comprehensive cooperation in education, scientific research, and student, faculty, and staff exchanges, HCMUTE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Incheon National University (INU), South Korea, on the morning of April 4, 2025.

Attending the signing ceremony from HCMUTE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang – President of the University, M.A. Pham Bach Duong – Head of the Office of International Affairs, and Dr. Duong Tuan Tung – Vice Dean of the Faculty of International Education.

Representing Incheon National University were Dr. Park Jongtae – President of the University, Dr. Shim Minsuk – Dean of the International College, Mr. Park Sangbyong – Head of the International Affairs Office, and Ms. Sung Jeehee – Assistant to the Head of the International Affairs Office.

In his speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang emphasized the importance of international cooperation in enhancing the quality of education and scientific research at HCMUTE. He expressed his expectation that the partnership with Incheon National University – one of the most reputable institutions in South Korea – will help expand international learning, research, and exchange opportunities for HCMUTE’s faculty and students in the near future.

Recognizing the shared development goals and orientations of both universities, after a period of discussion and exchange, HCMUTE and INU proceeded to sign the MOU, aiming to build a sustainable partnership that serves the mutual interests of both institutions in teaching and research. The agreement includes cooperation in academic and staff exchanges, joint training programs, collaborative research projects, co-organization of international conferences, and the sharing of academic resources.

Also at the ceremony, both parties exchanged plans for upcoming implementation steps, focusing on promoting short-term exchange programs for students, faculty, and staff, exploring potential joint training programs, and initiating the formation of joint research groups in engineering, technology, education, and innovation.
