1. Background:
2001: Department of Network Management under the Office of General Administration
1/2011: Established the Information Center from the Department of Network Management
4/2012 - current: The Information Center has been given more responsibilities and staff and renamed Center of Information and Computer

3. Function - Misson: 
1) Consulting the University on the implementation of network system, telephone system,design and operation of information technology application services; Managing, operating IT applications for the University’s work
2) Devising plan for the development of the infrastructure, IT applications, switchboard system to pursue the University’s development strategy; Managing and operating the electronic information portal and IT applications for training and management; inspecting, assessing IT projects and equipment; making regulations with regard to the use of IT services; ensure the smooth, convenient, and safe operation of the IT system for the demand of the University; Managing computer labs at HCMUTE.
