On January 13, Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology and Education was honored to welcome Secretary of State John Kerry to visit and deliver a speech at the auditorium. This was also his final visit as the U.S Secretary of State.
The event was attended by Party Secretary Dinh La Thang, and the PeopleCommittee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong, embassies, consulates, lecturers, 35 outstanding students of the university. Especially, two teams of Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology and Education winning YSEALI competition were also honored to attend the meeting.

After the visit to HCMUTE, the Secretary of State departed for Ca Mau where he served as a Naval officer during the war in the American war.
