On the morning of March 6, 2026, Ford Vietnam held the inauguration ceremony of the Ford Vietnam Training Center at Campus 2 of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Engineering (HCM-UTE), formerly known as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. On this occasion, Ford Vietnam also awarded scholarships and donated training equipment to students majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology from the Faculty of Energy Engineering and Transport at HCM-UTE, with a total scholarship value of more than VND 500 million.

The launch of the Ford Vietnam Training Center in Ho Chi Minh City is part of Ford’s strategy to develop technical human resources in Vietnam. The center aims to train and enhance the professional capacity of technicians within Ford’s dealership network, while also strengthening connections and cooperation between enterprises and technical training institutions.

As part of the program, Ford Vietnam awarded scholarships worth more than VND 500 million to support HCM-UTE students studying Automotive Engineering Technology, helping to encourage and motivate them to pursue careers in the automotive engineering field. In addition, the company donated various automotive equipment and components for practical training at the university, including a V363 engine, V363 transmission, V8 sliding door, V8 RH front door, and V8 LH front door.

These donated devices will be used in the practical training workshops of the Faculty of Transportation and Energy, enabling students to directly access the structure, operating principles, and technologies of modern automotive systems. Through this, students can not only reinforce their theoretical knowledge but also enhance their practical skills and professional competencies during their studies.

For HCM-UTE-one of the key technical training institutions in southern Vietnam—the support from Ford Vietnam helps strengthen learning and practical training conditions for students in Automotive Engineering Technology. Access to real industry equipment and technologies allows students to better understand the structure and technologies of modern vehicles, thereby improving their ability to adapt to professional working environments after graduation.

Ford Vietnam’s partnership not only contributes to improving the quality of education but also opens up opportunities for students to participate in internships, specialized training programs, and career opportunities within Ford’s dealership network. This collaboration also demonstrates HCM-UTE’s strategic direction in strengthening partnerships with industry and aligning education with the practical demands of the labor market.

In the coming time, HCM-UTE and Ford Vietnam expect to further expand cooperation in training, research, and technology transfer, contributing to the development of high-quality technical human resources for Vietnam’s automotive industry.
