On June 15th morning HCMUTE formally held the ceremony to announce the decision to set up the University Council and appoint the Council Chairman for the term 2013-2018.
    The event was attended by Dr. Ha Huu Phuc—representative of the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives of large universities and businesses such as BOSCH Vietnam, Duy Tan Plastics, TOYOTA Bien Hoa, etc. and news agencies along with our school representatives, managers of different divisions and all the officers.
     The HCMUTE Council consists of 17 members. This is a managing unit, acting on behalf of the University ownership, and reserving the right to decide on the school’s strategic and developmental issues.
     After the announcement ceremony Dr. Ha Huu Phuc—representative of the MOET delivered a speech to congratulate and reaffirm that the Ministry acknowledged and highly appreciated the role and position of HCMUTE in the nation university education.
     The new UTE Council Chairman, Dr. Ngo Van Thuyen, guaranteed that, with his work experience, capability, and support and the member of the University Council, he would put in his best effort to collaborate with the Rector to raise our institution’s quality, contributing more to the Vietnamese education.
