On the morning of October 15, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) held the Graduation Ceremony and Degree Conferment for 45 new graduates majoring in Logistics and International Trade Finance from the international joint training program between HCMUTE and the University of Northampton (UON), United Kingdom, in collaboration with TMC Academy, Singapore.

 

The new graduates joyfully tossing their caps to celebrate their achievement, ready to embark on new journeys

 

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Karen Johns, Head of the Faculty of Business and Law from the University of Northampton (UK); Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive Officer of TMC Academy (Singapore).

 

Representing HCMUTE were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Dinh Nhon, Dean of the Faculty of International Education; Dr. Duong Tuan Tung and Dr. Tran Quang Tri, Vice Deans of the Faculty of International Education; Mr. Pham Bach Duong, Head of the Office of International  Affairs; faculty members from the Faculty of International Education; together with the 45 new graduates, their families, and friends.

 

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hieu Giang, President of HCMUTE, congratulated all the new graduates for their continuous efforts and dedication throughout their studies. He emphasized:

“As you begin your new journey, remember that life will always challenge you, but every challenge is also an opportunity to grow. Keep learning, stay humble, and use your knowledge to make the world a better place every day.”

He also expressed sincere gratitude to the University of Northampton and TMC Academy for their close collaboration in providing students with access to advanced education and international integration opportunities.

 

 

Following that, Ms. Karen Johns, Head of the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Northampton, delivered an inspiring speech to the graduates. She expressed her pride in witnessing the Vietnamese students’ perseverance and determination throughout their four-year learning journey:

 

“At the University of Northampton, we take great pride in our partnership with HCMUTE and look forward to expanding this collaboration—offering more opportunities for students to study at Northampton, for lecturers to engage in academic exchange, and for both sides to strengthen research cooperation.”

 

 

Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive Officer of TMC Academy, Singapore, also shared his joy and pride in the 19-year partnership with HCMUTE. He remarked:

“Graduation is not an end, but a beginning. From today, you are innovators, thought leaders, and changemakers. Carry your knowledge as a torch that lights new paths, contributing to Vietnam’s economic development and making the world a wiser and more compassionate place.”

He also encouraged graduates to keep learning, innovating, and challenging themselves to reach greater heights in the future.

 

Representing the new graduates, Ms. Truong Ngoc Chau delivered an emotional speech expressing heartfelt gratitude to the HCMUTE Board of Rectors, the faculty from the University of Northampton, TMC Academy, and the Faculty of International Education for their guidance, inspiration, and unwavering support. She shared her pride in being part of the international training program and expressed hope that this experience would serve as a strong foundation for achieving greater goals ahead.

 

 

The Graduation and Degree Conferment Ceremony of the joint training program between HCMUTE, the University of Northampton (UK), and TMC Academy (Singapore) concluded in a solemn and heartfelt atmosphere. The 45 new graduates officially completed their academic journey—a milestone marking the beginning of new opportunities and challenges ahead.
