Research and Prize
FIT staff has conducted over 30 research projects, including 7 projects at the ministry level; students have engaged in 40 projects. In 2005, FIT successfully completed a GDVT-commissioned project to upgrade more than 200 IT teachers for junior colleges, professional and vocational schools in the whole country.
To enhance the students' learning environment, FIT organizes an on-campus IT Club, annual Mastering IT contests, HCMUTE IT Olympiads, etc. FIT students participate in the annual National Robot Contests and National IT Olympiads and have won 3 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes.
FIT cooperates with VITEC to train IT engineers according to Japanese standards (one course has been successfully completed), with IBM In incorporating open source software into the faculty training curriculum (5 lectures have been organized for staff and students so far).
