The final seminar of the EMVITET project was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education in May 2022. The seminar attracted both online and in-person participations of 210 and 143 people respectively. Large number of participants represented students, teachers, educational managers, industry partners, local government  and ministry. The seminar highlighted the successful development outcomes of the project which were presented by the EMVITET partners.

In the Empowering Vietnamese VET Teachers for Transformation towards Education 4.0 (EMVITET) Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education project, Education 4.0 competencies in pedagogy, digital technologies and the learning ecosystem were developed during a three-and-a-half-year process (2019–2022). Teachers from six Vietnamese partner institutions participated actively in the development process during the project and shared their development outcomes through poster presentation and by organising workshop sessions during the final seminar. Outcomes of the teachers’ development process indicated that the development of pedagogical practices was not happening just at the individual-teacher level, but the aim to ingrain these new practices at the institutional level was also achieved.

The final seminar disseminated the guidelines to implement Education 4.0 principles for Vietnamese Institutions which gave suggestions on how to support the development of Education 4.0 in the Vietnamese context. Guidelines were created in a collaborative process by Vietnamese EMVITET-project partners. In addition, EMVITET video was released, showcasing the main development results and outcomes of the project.
Other stakeholders outside of EMVITET partners got involved  actively in the final seminar. Leading industry partners contributed with their insight into education-industry collaboration,  which was considered as benefits and potential next steps. In his keynote speech, Dr. Tran Nam Tu, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Education and Training stated the significance of the EMVITET project in the context of education in Vietnam, and especially in education reform. Project results were important in taking forward the current situation of education 4.0 as well as in proposing policies, mechanisms and solutions to implement.

Poster presentations of the final seminar are published on the project website and in Erasmus+ Results Platform. Six Vietnamese educational institutions participated in the project and three European universities provided the facilitation for the development process. Häme University of Applied Sciences from Finland coordinated the project. EMVITET project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education Program of the European Union.
